Melanie Foster, Ph.D., received funding to create a new course titled Learning Locally, Growing Globally: Spanish for the Agricultural Sciences. By highlighting the centrality of the Latinx workforce in Pennsylvania’s agricultural community, the course encouraged students to improve their Spanish language skills and intercultural sensitivity and awareness. Dr. Foster continues to provide instructional assistance in several courses and programs to help incorporate global perspectives.
