Penn State students engage in a variety of Philadelphia-based projects through the various initiatives that the Penn State Center Philadelphia co-designs with faculty and Philadelphia-based professional and community leaders.
Urban engagement opportunities available to students can take on a number of forms, including research, professional experiences, travel, community-based learning, creative accomplishments, courses with an out-of-classroom component, organizational experiences, and self-directed learning.
Students interested in pursuing engagement opportunities or placements with Philadelphia-based organizations are encouraged to apply for our Social Justice Internship Program. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, so submit an application today.
Faculty who are interested in collaborating with the Penn State Center Philadelphia to design student engagement opportunities can submit a proposal through the Seeding Change grant program.
